Furniture, Relief Center
At Adullam Outreach, our Relief Center is dedicated to meeting one of the most overlooked yet vital needs in our community—providing families with quality furniture and household resources for free. Every first and third Thursday of the month, our doors open to welcome individuals and families from all walks of life. No matter their background, ethnicity, or faith, people are invited to find the furnishings they need to turn an empty house into a home. From couches and mattresses to dishes and other home essentials, we strive to equip households with the basic comforts that provide dignity and stability.
“For more than 15 years, I’ve watched faithful volunteers show up with love and dignity to serve the people of Milwaukee through our Relief Center. What began with a few generous donations of furniture has grown into a lifeline for families across the city. Every couch, mattress, and dish we provide is more than just furniture—it’s a reminder that no one has to walk through life’s hardships alone.”
– James Lewis
The need in our city is great, especially on Milwaukee’s North Side where many families struggle to secure affordable housing and lack the means to furnish it. That’s why we go beyond simply distributing furniture—we also provide a delivery service for those who cannot transport items themselves. Our resources are limited, but even with the few appliances we can offer, the impact is life-changing for the families we serve. None of this would be possible without our faithful volunteers who have served with dignity and love for more than 15 years. Their compassion, consistency, and hard work are the backbone of the Relief Center and a living example of hope in action.

Try to Become a Volunteer, This Can Solve Many Problems
If you are in need of furniture for your home, if you would like to donate furniture to support families in need, and if you are a social worker or represent a social service organization such as Catholic Charities and want to refer someone to the Relief Center. Please note that all referrals must come through a valid social worker or organization to ensure we are serving the most urgent and desperate needs of the inner city.
Now Any Help is Needed
Our work has also been strengthened by generous partners. A key partner since the very beginning has been First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin. They helped us get started by supplying furniture when our program first launched, and they have remained a consistent supporter over the years. Their partnership is a reminder that when communities come together across city and county lines, we can bring lasting change and hope to those who need it most.
