Vision Statement
Building a safe, vibrant, and thriving community where dignity, opportunity, and hope are restored. We envision our block and the 30th Street Corridor renewed through redevelopment and beautification, with developers investing, homeowners returning, and people from across the world coming to Adullam’s block and Milwaukee’s inner city to serve, live, and work. Our vision is to reverse hopelessness and reflect beautification inside and out — bringing life, creativity, and lasting hope to every corner of the neighborhood. Together we see clean streets, no dumping, fresh landscaping, and a community alive with hope, creativity, and opportunity.
Our Historic Vision
When Adullam Outreach was founded, our dream was to create a place that would meet practical needs and inspire lasting change.
-
A furniture program that gave families a chance to make empty houses into homes.
-
A third floor dormitory where youth mission teams and service groups could stay while helping transform the neighborhood.
-
A warming center where homeless families could stay together, safe and cared for.
-
A woodshop where people could work with their hands, learn a skill, and create jobs for the community.
Over the last 12 years, much of this original vision has been fulfilled — and it has become the foundation for what’s next.
Looking Ahead
Adullam’s vision now extends beyond our walls to the entire 30th Street Corridor. We see:
Redevelopment & Beautification – Restoring homes, transforming parking lots, and building new residential spaces so families and homeowners can return with pride.
The Core Café – A gathering place in the center of our building where neighbors, volunteers, and visitors can connect over food and conversation.
Arts & Culture – Murals, local artwork, and creative spaces throughout the building, along with a completed music studio and an enhanced stage for performances and streaming.
Expanded Facilities – New signage, fresh windows, and improved exteriors that reflect the life and beauty happening inside. A future residential property across the street will host volunteers, interns, and those called to serve Milwaukee’s inner city.
Community Safety & Engagement – A neighborhood watch for 30th Street, stronger partnerships, and more visitors drawn to a safe and vibrant corridor.
Jobs & Opportunity – Expanding our wood-shop, supporting local businesses, and continuing to create sustainable jobs through enterprise and partnerships.
The Heart of It All
– From the beginning, Adullam’s vision has been about people — families, youth, neighbors, and volunteers. The building is only the starting point. The true vision is a community restored: where hopelessness is replaced by opportunity, where beauty replaces blight, and where everyone has a place to belong.
