In the winter of 2016, something extraordinary began inside Adullam Outreach. What started as a step of faith—building out a woodshop to create opportunity—soon became the launchpad for a business that continues to bless Milwaukee: Custom Cottage Milwaukee.
From the beginning, Custom Cottage has been about more than furniture. Its mission was to combine craftsmanship with compassion—to create beautiful, handcrafted pieces while offering meaningful employment to those who needed a second chance. Inside the shop, workers gained more than a job. They found dignity, training, mentorship, and a supportive community.
A Story of Growth and Impact
What started with Coleman and Mary Moore bringing their family’s vision from Grand Rapids to Milwaukee has now grown through multiple generations of ownership. Over the years, Custom Cottage Milwaukee has weathered challenges, including the pandemic, and continues to thrive. Today, it is still producing custom-built furniture, employing local craftsmen, and carrying forward the same heart for people and transformation.
